Posthuman Art Wars or, P.A.W. is a tabletop roleplaying game for artists. It may also be useful for tech, media, law and policy researchers and advocates, academics, philosophers or students. Players create and act out their characters to decode the Prophecy about the link between the melting ice and artistic labour and save West Eeyorvik from drowning. Each player characters plays as a heterogenesic animal artist (hybrid, zootech or cyborg) in the P.A.W. world. Once downloaded and printed, the game can be played multiple times with the same or with different players and/or Player Characters.

Printing Instructions
Read the printing instructions below carefully and pick the relevant files accordingly.
All game content is available via the downloads below. Once you have printed these out, you do not need to refer to the website to play. The game content includes: (1) How to Play Guide (4 pages), (2) Gameverse Files (8 pages), (3) P.A.W. Character Sheet (1 page, 1 for each Player Character), (4) P.A.W. Score Sheet (1 page), (5) 8 Mission Cards, (6) 8 Location Cards, (7) 8 Aftermath Cards, (8) 4 Event Cards, (9) P.A.W. Game Board, (10) Artist ID Place Card (1 page, 1 for each Player Character)
Print the files below on A4 sheets. You have the option to choose black-and-white or colour printing and to print all files together or separately.
Print the card files (Mission Cards, Location Cards, Events Cards, Aftermath Cards) and the P.A.W. Game Board on A4 card stock or thicker sheets to enable easier shuffling. The rest may be printed on ordinary printer paper. The printed card files will need to be cut out to create the game cards.
Print the P.A.W. Character Sheet and Artist ID according to the number of players. Each Player Character shall require one copy each.
Follow the folding instructions on the Artist ID to create a Place Card for each Player Character.
The P.A.W. Game Board is made up of 4 printed A4 sheets. Use clear tape to join up and hold them in place to assemble the Game Board.

How to Play
Overview

Appoint a Narrator & Assign Player Characters
The game requires one player to serve as the Narrator. All other players play a Player Character who is a heterogenesic (zootech, cyborg or hybrid) animal artist living in West Eeyorvik.
Craft your Animal Artist Character
Create your original heterogenesic animal artist character using the P.A.W. Character Sheet. Get personal, find your artistic movement affiliation, imagine a backstory, let creativity flow. Live your wild personas and experiment, you don't always have to be "nice" or "sane" ;)
Know the Overaraching Goal
As a Player Character, your overarching goal is to stop the melting ice and save West Eeyorvik from drowning.
Follow your Mission & Character Beliefs
Each Player Character will seek to achieve this goal by following their Mission and character beliefs, which unfold through roleplaying and getting creative with dialogue in different acts and scenes. Use your imagination!
Join Factions, Vote & Earn XP
Players will try to create or join Factions based on their Character Beliefs, Mission requirements and game Event. You will vote for characters and earn Experience Points (XP) along the way.
Face the Consequences of Choices
Towards the end of the game, you will find out whether your Mission was successful, and if the Mission outcome actually stopped the ice from melting and saved West Eeyorvik from drowning. An opportunity to make collaborative meaning in the aftermath of the choices made.
Requirements
Pen, Paper & a Clock/Timer
6-faced die (6D), 4-faced die (4D, optional), a distinctive game token or pawn for each Player Character.
All the game content as printouts
(see the Printing Instructions for all details).
Gameplay
The gameplay consists of 5 stages:
(a) Character Creation,
(b) The Setup,
(c) Act 1,
(d) Act 2, and
(e) The Aftermath.
You must stay in character throughout the duration of the gameplay, by acting and speaking as your Player Character. The Narrator shall help with this.
